Giant Bear Guide — Strategy & Tips

The Giant Bear is one of the most dangerous Behemoths in Call of Dragons, relying on devastating melee attacks and area-of-effect (AoE) strikes that can quickly wipe out groups of units. His charge is especially deadly: if it hits a player, the Bear goes into a rage, becomes more aggressive, and starts repeatedly using his powerful ability “Cleave”.

Step 1: Tank Positioning

  • Tanks must hold the boss in the center of the arena.

  • Ranged fighters should position themselves at the edges to avoid AoE damage.

  • Melee combat is not recommended – the Bear deals heavy damage with stomps, paw strikes, and frontal attacks.

  • Avoid the frontal cone – this is the zone of maximum damage.

Step 2: Attack Phases

  • At every 25% health loss, the Bear activates a stomp that stuns all nearby players.

  • Immediately after, he performs a charge – dodging it is critical.

  • If the charge hits a player, he enrages and starts spamming “Cleave.”

  • If the charge misses all players, the Bear slams into a wall, gets stunned, and takes increased damage (temporary vulnerability). This is your window for maximum DPS.

Step 3: Healing Mana Stones

  • After each attack phase, the Bear releases Mana Stones, which can be directed to restore allies’ health.

  • Collect them immediately – they are crucial for group survival.

Step 4: Cycle Repeat

The fight follows a cyclical pattern – charge phases alternate with normal phases. Your tasks are:

  • Dodge charges,

  • Use vulnerability windows,

  • Keep the group alive with Mana Stones.

Elite Version Features

In Elite mode, the Giant Bear becomes significantly more dangerous:

  • +150% health, attack, and defense.

  • His attacks inflict bleeding, slowing players by 30% and dealing damage over time.

  • Each successful charge increases his damage by 1%, stacking over time.

  • Coordination, timely dodges, and proper control are the key to victory.
