Giant Guide — Strategy & Tips
The Giant — one of the most powerful Behemoths in Call of Dragons, with devastating AoE attacks and immunity to many debuffs. To defeat this boss, players must properly manage the battle phases, break his shields, deal with summoned Molotov Trolls, and avoid dangerous cone and radial attacks.
Step 1: Tank positioning and fight management
-
The main tank should keep the Giant in the center of the arena.
-
The second tank must be ready to take aggro if needed.
-
Ranged squads stay at a distance and attack from safe zones.
-
Avoid frontal attacks like Reckless Strike and Wild Swing — they deal high physical damage.
Step 2: Avoiding AoE attacks
- The Giant periodically uses wide cone and radial attacks:
-
- Cone — frontal.
- Radial — in three sectors.
-
Ranged fighters should be spread out and positioned between the arcs of attacks.
-
Especially dangerous is the skill “Whirl of Ferocity”, which hits all legions around — keep your distance.
Step 3: Breaking the Giant’s Shield
-
Every -25% health, the Giant devours a player and grants himself a shield.
-
The team must immediately focus damage to break the shield before the captured player dies.
-
Use high-damage artifacts — they are critically important.
-
After breaking the shield, the Giant is stunned — this is the window for maximum damage.
Step 4: Fighting Molotov Trolls
-
At a certain phase, the Giant becomes invulnerable and summons Molotov Trolls.
-
Switch focus: stop attacking the Giant and kill the trolls.
-
Each defeated troll drops a healing Mana Stone — use it to heal allies.
-
After all trolls are killed, the Giant becomes vulnerable again.
Step 5: Phase repetition
The fight proceeds cyclically:
-
Dodge massive AoE attacks
-
Timely break shields
-
Eliminate Molotov Trolls
-
Maintain team coordination to minimize losses and stay in the fight.
