Thunder Roc Guide — Strategy & Tips
The Thunder Roc is a dangerous behemoth with many devastating AoE attacks and electrical abilities. Its power increases significantly near water, making the fight even harder. Understanding the mechanics, avoiding electrified zones, and precise team coordination are the keys to success.
Step 1: Positioning and Tanking
-
The main tank engages the fight in the center of the arena.
-
Melee units are not recommended, as Roc uses frontal AoE skills:
- Wing Strike — 150° cone, magical damage
- Zealous Strike — 360° whirlwind with heavy damage
-
The secondary tank should be ready to pick up aggro, staying behind the boss.
-
Goal is to keep Roc in the center to reduce knockback effects (Scatter).
Step 2: Dodging “Storm Gathering”
-
Roc activates “Storm Gathering” and charges for 8 seconds.
-
Then unleashes a lightning strike with high damage.
-
Especially dangerous near water — triggers Electrostatic Discharge.
-
The ability cannot be interrupted, so timely movement is critical.
Step 3: Avoiding Ball Lightning
-
The Thunder Roc fires two projectiles into water pools, creating zones of:
- Constant damage
- Movement slow
-
After that it dives down, knocking players back.
-
During this phase avoid the water.
Step 4: Collecting Healing Mana Stones
-
When heavily damaged, the Thunder Roc drops 4 crystals near water pools.
-
Do not let Ball Lightning hit these areas.
-
Activate Mana Stones to:
- Restore health
- Remove debuffs
Step 5: Controlling Electric Marks
-
Three players receive an Electro-Explosion zone.
-
They must:
- Move away from the team
- Go to the center of the arena
-
The explosion damages everyone nearby — coordination is critical.
Step 6: Rage Timer — “Race Against Time”
-
The Thunder Roc has a rage timer.
-
When it expires, he activates Thunderous Cry — instant wipe.
-
To avoid this:
- Progress phases quickly
- Focus damage
- Keep mechanics under control
