Direbear Guide — Strategy & Tips

Direbear — is a dangerous behemoth with high survivability, powerful attacks, and tricky mechanics. This is one of those bosses where not only the strength of the squad matters, but also coordination, knowledge of phases, and proper positioning. To defeat Direbear, you must understand his key abilities and take full advantage of his vulnerability windows.

Step 1: Proper positioning and start of the fight

  • The fight begins with team members spreading along the edges of the arena, especially ranged and support classes.
  • The tank should pull the Boss to the center and hold aggro using taunt abilities.
  • Avoid stepping into the void zone — the dark energy that the Bear leaves on the ground. It deals damage over time to anyone inside it.
Quickly leaving the zone is the key to keeping the raid alive.

Step 2: Dodging Dark Rush

  • Dark Rush — one of the deadliest attacks. Direbear selects a target and performs a straight-line charge, dealing massive damage.
  • The best way to survive is to dodge at a 90° angle to the charge direction.
  • If done correctly, Direbear crashes into a wall and becomes stunned for a short time.
This window is the perfect opportunity to deal maximum damage!

Step 3: Using Mana Stones

  • During the fight, Mana Stones appear on the arena.
  • They provide healing and buffs, but should be used only when necessary.
  • Ideally, they should be picked up by support or the tank — and only when group health is critical.
  • Overusing stones early will leave you without resources in the final phase when damage increases.

Step 4: Using Artifacts

  • Artifacts with AoE damage or crowd control effects can significantly impact the fight.
  • The best time to use them is right after Direbear stuns himself against a wall.
At this moment he takes increased damage, and artifact use is most effective.

Step 5: Team coordination

  • Victory requires well-coordinated teamwork. Assign responsibilities:
    • for calling out before Dark Rush
    • for controlling Darkseal
    • for managing Mana Stones
  • Teams that communicate clearly handle the fight more easily and exploit the boss’s weaknesses effectively.

Step 6: Repeating the cycle

  • The fight with Direbear is a test of endurance and precision.
  • Repeat the cycle:

positioning → dodge → stun → burst damage → healing

  • Don’t rush. The key is fight control, not speed.
    Patience + discipline = victory.

Elite Version Features of Direbear

In the Elite version of the fight:

  • Direbear gains +150% health, attack, and defense
  • Magic damage reduced by 50% — mage classes are less effective
  • Enemy legions below 30% HP restore health equal to 30% of the damage dealt
  • Darkseal is generated constantly while Direbear is moving — avoiding it becomes harder

Before fighting in Elite mode, make sure that:

  • You have enough control and healing artifacts
  • The team has clear role assignments
  • You practice dodging Dark Rush beforehand
