Magma Daemon Guide in Call of Dragons
Magma Demon — one of the most difficult PvE bosses in Call of Dragons. It combines powerful area damage, dangerous lava zones, and a unique stacking mark mechanic that can wipe out the entire raid if coordination is poor.
To defeat the Magma Demon, the team must act in sync, spread properly across the arena and carefully track the battle phases.
How to Defeat the Magma Demon
The fight against the Magma Demon requires high team coordination and prior planning. If you are a leader or officer, make sure to:
- Warn the alliance at least a day in advance
- Write down a battle plan
- Explain role distribution
Without coordination and teamwork, this boss cannot be defeated
What Awaits You in the Demon’s Lair
In the arena there are four different Magma Demons:
- Two use magic damage
- Two — physical
For a successful run:
- You will need at least 8 tanks
- The remaining members should be archers
The “Stack” and Circle Mechanic
Each demon has an aggro circle. When you are inside this circle, your troops gain marks (stacks).
- At 5 stacks — units die instantly
-
At 4 stacks — you must leave the circle:
- move to the center of the arena, where stacks are reset
- or switch to another demon (new stacks start accumulating)
This rotation between circles is the key to survival.
Why 8 Tanks Are Needed?
Each demon uses a ranged attack if there are no players in its circle. To avoid this:
- Each demon must have 2 tanks
- The first tank holds aggro until 4 stacks, then moves to the center
- The second tank takes over
- After stacks accumulate — the swap repeats
Such an alternating cycle must continue until all demons are defeated.
Key Tips:
- Coordinate rotations between targets to avoid excessive stacks
- Keep moving — constant movement reduces the risk of AoE hits
- Plan positioning in advance: leave escape paths
- Watch mana stones — they are critical in the final stages
